ABHRS

Recertification

Maintain your ABHRS Diplomate status through the recertification process.

ABHRS Diplomates are required to recertify every 10 years. The recertification examination evaluates whether Diplomates continue to meet the highest standards of knowledge, skill, and ethical practice in hair restoration surgery.

Eligibility

  • Current ABHRS Diplomate in good standing.
  • Completion of required continuing medical education (CME) hours.
  • Active medical license in your country or state of practice.
  • No pending ethics investigations at the time of application.

Examination Process

The recertification examination consists of a written component followed by an oral examination. Both must be passed to maintain active Diplomate status. The Maintenance of Certification Committee, in cooperation with the NBOME, continually updates exam content to reflect current best practices.
